A conscious effort was made to make this building eco-friendly. All materials used are highly localized – within 5-8km radius. M.S. Centering for vault roof was to be reused as railing, floor slab as jack arches, parapet walls as rammed earth walls, and the main walls made of ‘Compressed Stabilized Earth Block’. This building has an extremely low carbon footprint of 192/sft. Vaulted roof and filler slabs are used to add to the vernacular charm of the building.
