The layout of this duplex residence is guided by the principles of Vastu shastra and maintains the cardinal axes. The first level comprises the entrance foyer, pooja, the living room leading to dining area with a spill out area with an interesting jali wall and kitchen is extended with an outdoor dining area in this open floor plan along with powder room, kids and parents room with balcony.

The common area is designed around this spill out area, which is a small patch of elevated green space opens to the sky. During the day, the sunlight streams through the jali wall, the patterns forming mystical shadows and reflections that grace the adjacent floor & walls.

The second level houses the master bedroom, guest room, a pantry and a multipurpose room opening to a large open terrace garden offering more intimate and informal ambience where they can host friends as well. The third level has a store room and servant’s quarters along with a private Jacuzzi terrace for the residents.

The multi-purpose room opens to the lawn terrace; the white washed brick jali canopy acts as the roof cover for seating area. The flagstone pavers coupled with outdoor furniture of dramatic colours are inspired from the streets of Greece.
