Ekadanta is a 41-acre eco-sensitive farming community near Gauribidanur, Tumkur district, designed to integrate architecture, agriculture, and sustainability. Through vernacular techniques, passive solar design, and regenerative landscapes, it creates an environmentally responsible and self-sufficient habitat.
Master Planning & Sustainable Design
Ekadanta's master plan follows low-impact development to maintain harmony between built and natural environments. Key strategies include:
- Functional Zoning – Dedicated residential, agricultural, and recreational spaces for balanced living
- Climate-Responsive Design – Buildings positioned for optimal daylighting & cross-ventilation
- Water & Waste Management – Rainwater harvesting, percolation ponds, wastewater treatment, and biogas production
